Opened in December 1933, the restaurant Sea Horse offers Finnish food and atmosphere. The spirit of the restaurant, with a little help from the staff, has been created by a personal clientele.

In the 90s, Tyler Brûlé wrote about the onion steak served by the restaurant for an international magazine. The restaurant’s own guiding star was born. At the same time, global awareness of the restaurant had been achieved. Finnish delicacies from fried herring to vorschmack and from herring platter to Viennese schnitzel have been produced for over 80 years. It is fair to say that Sea Horse is a piece of Finnish restaurant history. Almost an institution.
